First held in 2002, the annual June Briggs Awards for Excellence are sponsored by Briggs Inc., a NYC-based Destination Management Company (DMC) owned by Anthony Napoli, CMP and Gary Newman. The awards are named in honor of the visionary founder of the destination management industry in New York City, June Briggs. June got her start in the hospitality industry back when wives ran social programs for their husband's professional societies. More than 35 years later, she’s been hailed as a DMC visionary.
